The days have gotten shorter I'm just around I feel And it has to be more than this Time you're always escaping me Wake me up just to be out of it Time you're always escaping me Sleep is always carrying me away Always escaping me Sleep is always carrying me away Away Were you ever happy?
2.
I watched you sleep It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, I've ever seen I watched love grow I've watched it die but this moment right now, I hope to never let go Never let go never let go I watched you leave That sinking feeling, in my stomach never could go It will never go, it will never go never go "maybe we need time apart" - "maybe we do"
3.
Fields! 05:39
A thought we once shared What feels like a long time ago Back then, myself I didn't know Still don't know At least I am unsure of it Clung onto you a bit A question I share now; What the future holds? At this point, I don't know Still won't know But I'm so sure of it Just a little bit Were you ever happy Were you ever happy Seems happiness rarely exist Seems happiness rarely exist rarely exist rarely exist Got my feet in the water And my soul will never drown
4.
They're saying grow up I'm saying I don't know how I wanna wake up But I'm afraid of the now I'm taking close ups can't see on the inside I look towards the future But can't deal with right now I couldn't hang on I just get held up They're saying grow up I'm saying I don't know how I wanna wake up But I'm afraid of the now I'm taking close ups can't see on the inside just get held up I think I'll wake up Because, it's what I need to do
5.
If Ever 04:36
I'm bouncing back and forth I couldn't come to terms with your loss I'm heading out into the world I won't know where to go Oh help me so I'm sleeping away empty nights And waking up to no full thought days I couldn't stay oh no (why why why) I'm bouncing heading out into the world sleeping away I won't know I won't know Where to go? I won't know Into the world, where I'm heading out You're lost, you're lost, you're lost I'm bouncing back and forth forth and back Out of place, out of tack I won't know where to go, oh You're lost, you're lost, you're lost
6.
Inside of a Laughing World: I'm hoping for something more To get me up from these down times I couldn't wait to wake up And move on, move on, move on I'm counting on simple days Instead of the same dreaming away These feelings they may stay But I hope, but I hope, for some change

about

So this is'Better Days' a sample heavy pop album I spent the Summer working on.
I was hoping to see what I could come up with experimenting with a variety of sounds and creating different layers and textures.
For better, or worse, I am singing about stuff relative to my happenings throughout the year. This creative period has been very helpful. This was my first time feeling confident enough to sing on a project I created!

The production itself may come across as 'lo-fi' or poorly mixed, but each sound is meant to compliment and blend into one another in different ways and as a whole create something more whether messy or neat.
And I honestly haven't had a clue on how to put things together.
I would say that I managed to bring part of the idea in my head to the forefront with this album.

So hopefully you give it a chance and enjoy it.
And quite possibly understand what I am going for.
Thanks.
